They prefer a cool dry full sun climate with low humidity and open free draining soil, but where I live is more coastal and our soil is red volcanic clay and they still do quite well. They can also be grown in pots, but of course will be more productive if planted out. They survive temperature ranges from -27° C to +39° C (mine have survived over this temperature but they do not like it as much). Although they prefer full sun they do welcome some shade especially in the hot Australian summer afternoons. Water-logging is what they especially do not like, but during the growing season they like water, especially if the day temperatures are high. They love a good shower of rain during their growing period.
I AM NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC BUT OUR PLANTS ARE ABLE TO BE PURCHASED VIA MAIL ORDER OR THROUGH SELECTED NURSERIES. Occasionally I attend various events & shows (garden shows, special markets) and plant and dried berries may be purchased at these events. I do not sell direct to the public from our property as I am busy working our business and fulfilling orders, but you may contact me if you have any questions. I will be at the “Nambour Farmers Market” on Saturday 15th October 2008 between 7m and midday. As these are Farmer’s Markets, I will only be selling what I grow, so I will not have the imported dried gojis for sale at this market. (I offer Free Express Post for 1kg bag and over orders of dried gojis.
